Moonfire is hiring a Senior Prompt Engineer for a remote paid role open to candidates in India. Turn language models into dependable products. You will design, test and maintain the prompts, tools and evaluation sets behind Moonfire's AI features, and set the standard for how our teams prompt.
What you will do
- Design prompts, system messages and tool schemas for production features
- Build evaluation sets and automated tests so prompt changes can be measured
- Diagnose failures: hallucination, drift, format errors and refusals
- Document patterns and train other teams
What we are looking for
- 4 to 8 years in software, data or NLP, with real LLM product experience
- Strong Python and a habit of testing everything
- Clear writing and structured thinking
- Comfortable working remotely
Role details
- Level: Senior. This is a senior role with real ownership and influence on how we work.
- Location and work mode: Remote, India. Work from home. You do not need to live near an office, and we work in a way that suits distributed teams.
