Set the technical direction for our most demanding systems: high volume, multi tenant platforms where reliability, cost and correctness all matter. This is a senior individual contributor role with real influence and no requirement to manage people.
What you will own
- Architecture for distributed services, messaging and data pipelines
- Design reviews, technical standards and long term platform decisions
- Deep dives into performance, consistency and failure behaviour
- Mentoring senior engineers and writing the decision records
What we are looking for
- Nine or more years of software engineering, with recent work on distributed systems
- Strength in Java, Go, Kotlin or a similar language, plus SQL and NoSQL data stores
- Experience with Kafka or similar, caching, sharding and observability
- Ability to make and explain trade offs to engineers and executives
